TEC is a three-day retreat weekend based on the Paschal Mystery: the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
TEC originated as "Teens Encountering Christ" in 1965 as a retreat experience for high school students. There are active TEC centers throughout the United States and foreign countries.
CENTRAL MINNESOTA TEC began in 1978 and is one of several TEC centers in Minnesota. CENTRAL MINNESOTA TEC changed its name to "Together Encountering Christ" to better reflect the presence of both
teen and adult participants on the weekends.

(FOR Thanksgiving to Christmas)
Central Minnesota TEC celebrates 41 years of hosting Together Encountering Christ (TEC) retreats in the diocese of St. Cloud. It is the largest TEC retreat program in the United States, with more than 38,000 participants. TEC is geared towards youth (age 16+) as well as adults. As Pope Francis invites us to “Moments of Encounter” with our God and each other, TEC provides the perfect three-day retreat experience to do just that. Consider taking time over the coming months to participate in an encounter retreat like Central Minnesota TEC. You won’t regret it. Check out the monthly TEC retreat schedule at www.cmtec.org.
(mid-December thru early January)

What is a TEC Retreat? How Do I sign up?
TEC – Together Encountering Christ is a three day retreat supported by the St. Cloud Diocese. The retreat is intended for both youth (age 16+) and adults and is modeled after the Paschal Mystery - the Easter message of death, resurrection and sending forth. Youth will often credit TEC for giving meaning to their faith life, purpose to their everyday life, and a commitment to living their life for Christ. One adult indicated, “outside of my marriage and the birth of my children, TEC is the most important event of my life.” Check out what others have experienced by participating in an upcoming TEC weekend. For information and registration details, visit the website at www.cmtec.org or call (320)532.4455

What Is The Purpose Of Koinonia?
Koinonia is a community experience in Christian living designed especially for adults. It is a Catholic retreat program sponsored by the St. Cloud Diocese.
Koinonia has a two-fold purpose.
The first is to provide a time and a place for adult Christians to experience the reality of Christian community, fellowship and sharing...that is to say: "Koinonia". St. Paul, in his letter, uses the Greek word 'Koinonia' to describe the early church, that newly formed group of Christian believers who looked to each other for faith-sharing support.
The second purpose is to provide a depth of faith-sharing support that allows and challenges inner renewal for each participant at his or her own level. Renewal often brings about a desire to serve. Koinonia can rightly be called a "renewal" program in this respect.
